Diving into a world of creativity and challenge has a unique appeal. Each week, I was pushed to step beyond my comfort zone and learn to think more boldly and expansively. AWARD School felt like a creative boot camp, and it truly lived up to that reputation.
From the start, the experience was exhilarating and full of surprises. Not knowing what to expect, I immersed myself in my thoughts and quickly realised that sometimes the simplest ideas are the most effective. I became more attuned to my environment, sketched for inspiration during my commute, and kept my drive to improve alive even after the course wrapped up.
I formed new connections through this experience. The tutors offered honest and insightful feedback that was precisely what I needed to improve. Each session felt relatable, as they not only taught but also shared personal stories, invaluable lessons, and insights from their own journeys. Engaging in discussions about ideas and experiences with my team also played a significant role in my development. Being part of such a motivated and diverse group provided a fresh level of inspiration. Even with our differing viewpoints, we all united around a common goal: to create and enhance our skills.
Reflecting on my time there, I see that AWARD School taught me more than just creative thinking. It reshaped my approach to challenges. It is what led me to a new career as a Designer, equipped with fresh skills, a sharper mindset, and the confidence to keep evolving. This wasn’t merely a course; it was the push I needed to see what I’m really capable of.
